Did you know?
The average adult knows about 40,000 words, but we rely on just 400 "core words" for 80% of our daily conversations. Studies show that with methodical teaching, dogs have the cognitive ability to learn up to 200 of those words. Your dog already has the potential to understand half your daily vocabulary. Are you ready to give them a way to talk back? Imagine what they would say if you gave them a voice.
What we teach in our Multilevel Dog Communication Program

Level 1
The Foundation of Body Language
Before we ever introduce a button or a board, we start exactly where our dogs do: with the silent, subtle language of the body. Level 1 is all about tuning in to the "whispers" of a tail wag, an ear flick, or a shift in weight. By mastering these foundational cues, you stop guessing and start truly seeing what your dog is trying to tell you. It’s the essential first step in building a relationship based on mutual respect and observation.

Level 2
Nose-to-Hand Touch
Once we’re observing, we start interacting. Level 2 introduces the Nose-to-Hand Touch, a reliable, physical way for your dog to "tap you on the shoulder" and initiate a conversation. Whether you’re at home or out on a busy trail, this tactile method ensures your dog has a way to check in and answer questions without needing any special equipment. It’s the ultimate "on-the-go" communication tool that keeps you connected anywhere.

Level 3
Introduction to AAC Buttons
This is where the magic of "speaking" truly begins. In Level 3, we introduce individual AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) buttons. Dogs at this level start connecting specific sounds and words to their real-world needs, whether that’s "yes", "no", "outside", or "play". It’s about giving your dog a concrete voice and watching their confidence soar as they realize that when they press a button, you finally understand exactly what they want.

Level 4
Advanced AAC Button Boards
For the true wordsmiths, Level 4 moves beyond single requests and into the world of complex thoughts. By using a full AAC Button Board, your dog learns to string together short sentences and navigate a wide vocabulary to share their internal world. This is the "high-dive" of communication, where the barrier between species truly begins to fade and you find yourself having actual, meaningful dialogues with your best friend.
The Ultimate Goal: Real Communication
The secret to canine AAC isn't the buttons. It’s the foundational language. In fact, the dogs we train are so fluent in our Level 2 Yes/No system that we use it for 80% of our daily communication. We use the Level 3 and 4 button boards for vocabulary expansion and complex thoughts, but the true connection happens long before a button is ever pressed.
